Use of the MG logo

The Wisconsin Master Gardener Program relies on the public’s ability to easily recognize their services and products. To help our clientele and the public recognize the scope and nature of our mission, it is important that we convey a unified, cohesive image.

The logo should only be for approved MG volunteer activities, programs and events. It cannot be used for commercial purposes or personal gain.

You can help the WI MG Program present a clear, consistent message and image by using the logo properly. The logo should never be redrawn, retyped, stretched, recreated electronically, or altered in any way (it can be scaled to a different size, but not changing the proportions).

In any application, the logo should be placed prominently so it is easily recognized and legible. The logo may be enlarged or reduced but should never be displayed so small or so large that the image is illegible. No boxes, circles, or other figures should be drawn around the logo in such a way as to appear to be part of the logo or in any way that competes with or detracts from the logo. The county or association's name can be added below the logo.

Whenever possible, use the UW-Extension logo in conjunction with the MG logo. The logo(s) may appear on letterhead used for official MG business. It should not be used for personal stationary.

Electronic Logo Files

Both B&W and color (purple and green with black lettering) logo files are available in several formats for different purposes. Choose the type that best fits your needs and download to your own computer. These files can be resized, but be careful because the image quality can degrade if made too big or small, especially with the gif and jpg files.

Clicking on a link below will either bring up a message to choose to open or save the file (eps, tif) OR will open the file in another window (gif, jpg). Right click on the image in that new window to save the file to your computer.

File Formats:

• EPS: Use with layout programs, such as PageMaker. Works well with Photoshop as well. Great for large projects, such as signs and posters.

• TIFF: High-resolution file format for applications such as PageMaker and Photoshop.

• GIF: Low-resolution file. Use for Web pages.

• JPEG: High-resolution (300 ppi), high-quality file for printing. Use in applications such as PageMaker and Word, if you cannot use TIFF or EPS. Use the low resolution (72ppi) version for use on Web pages.
