Highlights of the May 9, 2013 Meeting of the WIMGA Board of Directors


  1. The Coordinator’s update included information on county fair judges training, a free seed distribution program for school garden projects or food production for low-income areas and food pantries, and notes about some bad email addresses for MGVs on the newsletter distribution list.
  2. The Advisory Committee met in April and discussed many of the potential upcoming changes to the program. The minutes are available on request.
  3. The New Association & Board Member Orientation Committee held an orientation for new board members on April 30. Six local reps and one local association officer participated.
  4. The Northern District Report was deferred again.
  5. The Procedures Committee has been reviewing the SOP for proposed changes, but needs more time to complete the review. There was a request for one or two additional Board members to help with this assignment and Lynn Caine volunteered. There was a proposal to make two minor changes to the by-laws. The proposed changes will be published in the July newsletter for WIMGA members to review and vote on at the Annual Meeting.
  6. WIMGA Committee assignments were reviewed and some Board members volunteered to add to or change their assignments.
  7. The next meeting will be June 13 by WisLine at 4:30 p.m.
